Details of CET, GD, PI, Distribution of Total Marks and GD-PI, Undertaking etc
The Agency to administer CET, GD AND PI
The CET, GD and PI would be administered by the Competent Authority, on its own or in collaboration with or through a professional agency with proven record of its competence and experience in such process of personnel selection through competitive examinations.
The MAH –MBA/MMS-CET 2008:

The question paper for the CET will be set in English only. Translations in any languages will not be available.
- The CET would be of 21/2 (Two and half) hours duration and would have a maximum of 200 marks.
- The CET would be held on Sunday, 17/02/2008 at 2.00 p.m.
- The CET would have multiple choice objective type questions.
- The CET would not have negative marking.
- There will be no verification of marks or revaluation of answer sheets of the CET
- The marks at the CET would be considered for admission during the current academic year only and would not be allowed to be carried forward to the next year.
- The detailed information and the instructions about the CET and a few sample questions illustrating the nature, variety, scope, pattern, type of questions that will be set for the CET are given in Annexure VIII and Sample answer sheet (filled up) and (Blank) is given in Annexure –IX.
- The cities in which CET-2008 is conducted are designated as centre for the CET. Each centre will have several venues depending upon the number of candidate due to appear at that centre. A candidate applying for the CET would have the freedom to choose his/her centre but shall not have freedom to choose the venue.
- The venues allotted to the various candidates appearing for the CET would be displayed on web site – www.dte.org.in/mba under the heading 'MBA/MMS-CET 2008 Examination venue'
The GD AND PI:

The batch number, date, time and venue for the GD and PI will be indicated on the call letter for GD and PI.

Each of the candidates applying for the CET will have to choose his/her choice of city for the GD and PI.
Distribution of Total Marks:

The following will be the Head wise distribution of the total marks of 240, on the basis of which the final University wise/ Category wise/ State level Merit lists will be drawn.
- The Past Academic Record (PAR) of a candidate will be evaluated as shown below

The work Experience (WE) of a candidate will be evaluated as shown below :

Paid and Full-Time Work Experience acquired by a candidate after passing the qualifying examination, as on 31st December 2007, in a company listed on any of The Stock Exchanges in India or in Central/State/Semi-Government organizations, Public Sector Undertakings; will only be considered valid for grant of Work Experience marks. The work experience should not include the duration under the Apprenticeship, Articleship, Internship etc. Use proforma–G for the submission of work experience certificate at SIMSREE, Mumbai.

For candidates who have joined their Engineering degree courses after successfully completing their diploma programmes in Engineering, the final year examination of the diploma programme conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent will be considered as an examination equivalent to HSC examination.

HSSCE and SSCE respectively denote the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination and the Secondary School Certificate Examination of any of the Divisional Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
